How IDLINGYU Was Founded.
IDLINGYU is led by Yuni, an ESL educator who has taught English to Indonesian learners since 2022. Her approach is grounded in emotional intelligence, real-world communication, and CEFR-aligned outcomes, built on the Oxford General English syllabus and methods refined at Kampung Inggris, Kediri.
Her experience spans adult professionals, teens, and children as young as five. Several months teaching inside a Montessori-based after-school program shaped how she runs a classroom: patient, observant, and safe enough for a learner to actually try. Those same principles, not just slogans, are what the three pillars below are built on.
Emotional Safety Comes First
Most methods start with grammar. This one starts with whether a learner feels safe enough to speak at all, the same principle whether it's a shy six-year-old's first sentence or an adult rehearsing English for a client meeting.
Consistency Builds Confidence
Fluency comes from routine and repetition, not cramming. Every program runs on a consistent structure, daily practice and familiar patterns, so progress compounds instead of resetting every session.
Real-World Use Creates Meaning
Language is proven through use, not recall. Lessons stay anchored to real conversations and real writing tasks, not textbook drills, so what's practiced in class is what actually gets used outside it.
